Grace - fresh vital worship since 1993

August 2012: Greenbelt 2012 - God's not fair + Workshop

We did two things at Greenbelt - a service using Si Smith's artwork in a gallery space exploring the theme 'God's not fair' (see here for earlier Grace version), and a workshop 'Now we are eighteen', in which we discussed our journey, how to plan services and do curation, etc.

God's not fair

Entrance

Intro

Two radically different statements – people need to decide whether they are fair or not. Want to avoid having a middle option – aim is to provoke thought rather than finding out what people want to do.

People asked to put a marble in one of two jars – but if they don’t like what they had to vote for think about they would have preferred to vote for.

People can write their own statements down – use post it notes or to write it down on the banqueting role stuck up on the wall.

Exhibition

Brief intro to the Book of Job. Si to talk about book of Job and what inspired him.
